Did You Know?
Tintilla de Rota is a red grape variety native to the coastal town of Rota in the southern Spanish region of Andalusia. Its extreme rarity is due to its low yields and historical urbanization in Rota. Production is limited and traditional, involving sun-drying the grapes to concentrate their sugars, often resulting in a highly prized sweet wine for pairing with cheeses and desserts. In Andalusia, Tintilla has been present for at least 500 years!
